Our Story
Northstar Dental Studio opened on King Street West with a deliberately small footprint: a handful of treatment rooms, a team you can count on one hand, and enough time in the schedule to answer questions properly.
Most of our patients live or work within a few blocks. They come in before the office, on a lunch break, or on a Saturday morning with the kids. We built the schedule around that, and we built the space around the part people usually dread — the sitting, the waiting, the not quite knowing what is going to happen.
What has stayed constant is the way we work: explain first, treat second, and never recommend something we would not choose ourselves.
How We Work
Five things shape every appointment here, from a ten-minute check to a longer course of treatment.
No jargon, no assumptions. If we use a word you have not heard before, we will explain it without being asked.
Quieter equipment, softer lighting, blankets if you want one, and a team that notices when you have tensed up.
Digital scanning and imaging mean fewer uncomfortable impressions and a clearer picture to look at together.
Your plan accounts for your priorities, your budget and how much time you can realistically give it.
The best appointment is a short one. We would rather catch something early than rebuild it later.
The Northstar Team
A small team, on purpose. You will get to know them, and they will get to know you.
Maya looks after most of our families and handles the everyday side of the practice — exams, restorations and preventive care. She is unhurried by nature, which tends to suit patients who have had a difficult time at the dentist before.
Daniel divides his time between general dentistry and the cosmetic side of the studio. He is the one most likely to sketch something out on the screen so you can see the options side by side before deciding.
Emily runs our hygiene appointments and is usually the first person you will spend real time with. She is direct about what she sees and practical about what to do at home between visits.
